To the abutting neighbors of my clients who are scheduled to receive pest control treatments on their property this season:

Our county government voted to ‘opt-in’ for the 48 hr. Neighbor Notification Law as of 1/1/06. The law requires that applicators provide the abutting neighbors of their clients receiving certain pesticide treatments with a 48 hr. advanced written notice prior to a scheduled treatment.

These notices will offer not only a projected application date, but also two alternative dates if necessary. (Because of rain, wind, equipment problems, over scheduling issues; whatever...) Numerous projected and alternative dates can be given for a single visit.

I’m going to offer the option to notify any abutting neighbor a more accurate notification by e-mail, the day prior to my scheduled visit. In most cases I should be able to narrow down my arrival time to morning or afternoon. I’ll also let you know what’s being done. (i.e., an overall or spot lawn treatment, an ornamental spray treatment, etc.) And, I’ll provide you access* to the COMPLETE product Label and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet; provided by the manufacturer of the product, to view if you’re interested.

I pride myself in providing ethical, IPM pest management for my clients. I scout the properties and only decide to make applications if deemed necessary. And, I do not make applications if illegal drift outside of my clients property is a possibility.
Also, this waiver offers the option to ‘not receive notification’ for those neighbors who feel this is not an issue.

The ‘Neighbor Notification Option Waiver’ is available on my web site which can downloaded, printed out, fill in your choices and mail (e-mail or snail) to me.

Thank You.
